Set in a wing of the former Royal Palace of the Alcáçova, the Castle Café is the ideal place to have lunch, a snack, or merely a drink and enjoy a quiet moment watching the peacocks.

With a sublime view overlooking Lisbon, the Casa do Leão Restaurant gets its name from Casa dos Leões (Lion’s House) due to its unique location in the wing of the former Royal Palace of the Alcáçova where lions, brought from Africa, were kept during the time of King Afonso V (1438 – 1481). The restaurant is famous for its sophisticated renditions of Portuguese traditional cuisine.
