The Castelo de S. Jorge Education Department offers various programs with activities meant to encourage understanding of various aspects of spatial-temporal continuity of Castelo de S. Jorge heritage. These offer thematic interpretations of its history, spaces, characters and knowledge about events gathered over time, providing a taste for historical knowledge and appreciation of cultural heritage, as a factor in human development.

On the first Sunday of the month, join the Heralds of Fun, Mr. Berengário and Mr. Segismundo who have prepared two hours of fun and games for you from yesteryear: break-the-jugs, the blind-stick, the treasure tower and other surprises.

Jorge and, with the help of an ultrasound detector, discover, observe and identify various species of bats and learn about the extraordinary importance of bats in ecosystems.
